New Delhi: Boeing announced that it has received a key communications technology for the Indian Navy’s P-8I long-range maritime reconnaissance and anti-submarine warfare aircraft from Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) a month ahead of schedule.
BEL delivered the Indian-designed Data Link II, a communications system that will enable the exchange of tactical data and messages between Indian Navy aircraft, ships and shore establishments. Boeing will install the system during P-8I final assembly at its facility in Renton.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) - Officials from The Boeing Co. and the city of Renton plan to sign a 40-year lease for the aerospace company to use Renton Municipal Airport, next to Boeing’s 737 assembly plant.
A city news release said the signing ceremony will take place Wednesday.

RENTON REPORTERBoeing expects to continue building the world’s most popular jetliner, the 737, into the 2020s in Renton, a top Boeing official said in an economic speech Tuesday.
That’s good news, especially with Wednesday’s news that Boeing is going to open a second production line for the 787 Dreamliner in South Carolina, rather than expand production in Everett.

RENTON, WA (KPLU) - Most Boeing workers aren’t surprised by the news that the company is putting its second assembly line for the 787 in South Carolina. But the decision not to put it in here in Everett left many shocked, angry and worried about the company’s future.
Outside the Machinists union hall in Renton, a group of Boeing workers - some current, others retired - came together for a political meeting. But their conversation focused on the company’s unprecedented decision: to start building planes in South Carolina.

KENT, Wash. — Boeing is putting up massive new flood walls to protect its facilities of potential Green River flooding in the Renton and Kent areas.Boeing spokesperson Bill Cogswell said when the company learned the Army Corps of Engineers may have to dump more water in the Green River this winter due to the compromised Howard Hansen Dam — the company started working up a plan.
